POLICIES / FEES
I offer client-centred treatment for a broad spectrum of emotional, psychological, and relational difficulties. I work short-term or long-term, supporting clients to make informed decisions about the depth and length of their therapy experience with me. I also offer clinical supervision and consultation in relational modalities of therapy.
I’m available by appointment for daytime sessions Monday through Thursday. On Mondays and Tuesdays my practice is exclusively virtual, usually by video connection, or by telephone on request. On Wednesdays and Thursdays I am available for virtual or in-person sessions in my office at 455 Avenue Road, Toronto.
You may contact me by email or leave a confidential voice mail at 416-801-4227. Email is usually the better way to reach me. Unless I’m on vacation, I will return email messages by the end of the next business day.
If we work together, your confidentiality will be guaranteed, with only three exceptions: (1) if I believe that disclosure is essential to prevent physical injury to you or others; (2) if I believe that a minor is in need of protection from abuse or neglect; or (3) if my records are subpoenaed by court order. When I seek consultation, I'm careful to disguise all aspects of my clients’ identities.
Fees: I charge $180 for a 50 minute session of psychotherapy or clinical supervision. Longer sessions, with pro-rated fees, are available as my schedule permits. The fees also cover the additional time I spend in record-keeping, consultation, and related research. Fees are payable by cash or cheque in session, or by email transfer -- sent to my email address before the session, please. I do not send invoices except on request. I do send a receipt for every payment or, if you prefer, a summary receipt at the end of the year or on request.
If I need to cancel an appointment, I will give you as much notice as possible. If you need to cancel an appointment, please give me as much notice as possible.
Please note that I charge the full fee if I receive less than 24 hours notice of cancellation, and that this fee is due at the following regular session or within 30 days if no further session is scheduled.
Insurance coverage will work for you if your carrier covers a Registered Social Worker with an M.S.W. The receipt I send to you when you pay me is the document you submit to your insurance company in order to be reimbursed.
